Pop Up First AidPop up books are one of the few mass produced items still made by hand. To the right you will find some useful tips for first aid on pop ups that may, temporarily, not pop up.
Within this book, my dear friend, Are various buildings tall. The rooftops move, the banners change, And sails drape and fall. With them you will poke and play, But remember one small thing, They may appear to be made of brick, but of paper they are made. This lovely book was built, piece by piece, by over two hundred and forty hands. It traveled on a ship, and through the mail to be with you, where you stand. So know that the glue might fail, a page might tear or bend. And therefore, I advise to you, that all’s not lost in the end. A bit of glue, a steady hand can fix most minor mends. And in no time, a broken piece might just pop open again. Without your turning of the pages, the pop ups won’t be deployed. So open the book and know up front, that it is meant to be enjoyed. For some minor glue point repairs I prefer to use Skoor-tape, a double sided tape that was created for scrapbooking.
I buy it in different widths to repair my pop up books. |
